An ideal resume is a brief description of all your qualifications, achievements and personal profile. If there is no job application form provided by the prospective recruiter, then resume is the only document that helps you to get your desired job. So it ought to be something very pertinent and should highlight the most salient features of your academic and professional career. Nowadays, you can also find an online CV and resume builder who can help you to make your CV or resume more professional and impressive for the reader.
The first section should be about your Personal Profile like your full name, date of birth, complete contact information like your postal address, email address and telephone numbers. The next part is about your Objective and you need to be much focused while writing your Objective. It should be about one or two sentences describing your professional goals. The Objective part should be in a customized format depicting you as an ideal candidate for the job recruitment. It should not be a fantasized statement but you should follow a very realistic and professional approach otherwise it could be very irritating for the prospective employer.
The next section is about your Career Highlights and Qualifications where you need to mention all your professional skills, achievements and experiences related to the post for which you are currently applying. This section may help your prospective employer to sort out the most desired skills and experiences that you have for his or her organization’s progress and expansion. This section should depict that you have all the required academic qualifications and professional experience needed for the particular job position. In the next section, you need to mention your overall Professional Experience and here you are required to give the details of your professional history. In this part you are required to give the full name of the companies that you have worked for, the positions held by you in those companies, the dates of your employment and the list of your responsibilities and achievements that you had in those companies. This section will depict the overall experience held by you and will help the prospective employer to know about the whole package of skills offered by you that can be helpful for his or her organization directly or indirectly.
The next section should be about the Education where you need to mention your academic qualifications. This part should depict your academic qualifications in a reverse manner like your latest degree should be mentioned at the top and so on. It should mention all the degrees and awards with awarding institutions and dates properly. The GPA should only be mentioned if it is above 3.0 otherwise there is no need to do that. The next section is about your professional skills like the computer literacy or communication skills etc. There is no need to mention the references in the end, rather furnish them to the prospective employers if requested. If you follow these instructions carefully then you can get job offers from various employers and can finish with your tedious job finding.
